Architectural Plants is a 32 acre plant nursery located in West Sussex that you can hire for your wedding. It's such a unique setting for a wedding, getting married surrounded by tropical plants.

Getting ready at the venue
They have a room available to use above the office. This space is perfect for the bridal party or groomsmen to get ready in on the morning of the wedding. It's handy to have the option to get ready on site so you don't have to worry about travel or being late.
Arrival Drinks
Your guests will arrive through the arch in the car park leading them to a small outside area where you can hold your arrival drinks. Your guests can mingle and have a drink here before they head over to the ceremony.
Wedding Ceremonies at Architectural Plants
Architectural Plants is licensed for wedding ceremonies meaning you can legally get married there. Your ceremony will be held inside one of the polytunnels, you will be surrounded by beautiful plants and have cover from the UK weather just in case. It's a really unique setting for a wedding ceremony, perfect for couples who love nature or want the tropical vibe without flying to Tuscany. After your ceremony you'll exit the tunnel and get ready for a confetti line outside. You can use real petal confetti at this venue.
Drinks Reception
Architectural Plants has the perfect space for an outdoor drinks reception. It's a gravel area enclosed by plants, it has plenty of space for your guests to hang out, garden games, furniture and it's accessible by car if you're having a mobile bar. This area is just outside the Number 11 polytunnel where your reception will be held.
Wedding Breakfast
Your wedding breakfast will be held inside tunnel No. 11. They keep the middle path clear and lay out the tables and chairs either side on the gravel. This venue suits trestle tables best to keep the symetry. The great thing about Architectural Plants is that you don't need to add much decor as the trees and plants fill the space nicely. You may want to add a few flowers or candles to the tables if you'd like a pop of colour. The tunnels provide shade from the sun and cover from the rain, it also means there's lovely soft light throughout so your photos will look good from any angle! Out the back of this tunnel is where your caterers will be set up, the venue allow food trucks if that's something you want.
Photo Locations
As you can imagine there are endless places for photos at this venue. All of the tunnels have different trees and plants creating lots of options for your couple photos. There are also lots of similar rows of trees outside if the weather is good. There is a beautiful landscaped area by the lake, I love to go there at sunset as the sun goes down behind the lake.
Evening Reception
Your evening reception will be held in the same tunnel as your wedding breakfast, you can leave the tables where they are and set up the dance floor at the back of the tunnel. This area can be blocked off so your band / DJ can set up without anyone seeing. Something to bear in mind is lighting, the tunnels only have small bulbs in the ceiling which isn't enough to light up the room after dark so visability will be low. This is important if you're getting married September - March when the sun sets earlier as you may want to hire some lighting for inside. You can also still use the drinks reception space, you could have an outdoor photobooth or mobile bar.
