Kingscote Barn is a beautiful stone barn wedding venue in the Cotswolds. It's an exclusive use venue set within 400 acres of the Cotswold Hills providing incredible views.
Getting Ready
Kingscote Barn have lots of accommodation and a dedicated dressing room available for getting ready on the morning of the wedding. It's a spacious room with a kitchen, living room and make up area. They also have wooden pods, the retreat and woodland lodges where your groomsmen / wedding party can get ready.
Ceremonies
The venue has an indoor and outdoor option for your wedding ceremony. The Cotswold Stone Barn is a beautiful inside space for ceremonies at any time of year, it seats up to 150 guests and they allow confetti inside. The Linhay is the outside ceremony location, this also seats up to 150 guests and is the perfect place for a spring / summer wedding. With the outdoor ceremony you have the stunning views of the Cotswold valley. The venue is dog friendly if you wanted your dog to be the ring bearer at your ceremony.
Drinks Reception
Your drinks reception can be held inside the reception room or outside on the terrace. It's a great venue for any time of year as they have great indoor and outdoor options. The terrace is perfect for your drinks reception as your guests can enjoy their canapés and drinks whilst taking in the views of the valley. There are plenty of backdrops to choose from for your formal group photos.
Photo Locations
At Kingscote Barn you're spoilt for choice with locations for your couple photos. Up by the barn there's a little flower garden with an arch that lights up in the evening. Then it's a short walk down the hill past the sheep fields to the lake where you can walk out onto the jetty. If you're lucky enough to get a sunset the lake would be the perfect place for some golden hour photos.
Wedding Breakfast and Evening Reception
Your wedding breakfast will be held in the Cotswold Stone Barn, you can lay it out how you want with round tables or long trestle tables. They have recommended caterers for you to choose from, they offer different options so you can have sharing platters, a BBQ or a 3 course meal. They also have a courtyard kitchen for the evening where they can serve pizza, tacos or chips and dips. The venue don't charge corkage but the caterers may charge a service fee to serve them. After dinner and speeches the staff will turn around the room ready for your evening party. Your guests will head into the bar and reception room whilst they set up. You can have a DJ or band set up in the stone barn, they have a permanent dancefloor for you to use. The venue also allow sparklers and fireworks in the winter if you want some extra evening fun.
Accommodation and Parking
Kingscote Barn has lots of accommodation and parking on site. They have the Treehouse Suite which is for the newly weds to stay in the night of their wedding. They also have The Retreat (sleeps 2), Spring Cottage (4 double bedrooms), 6 wooden Pods (each pod sleeps 2), The Tallet House Rooms (5 double bedrooms), a Shepards Hut (1 super king bed) and the Woodland Lodges (each sleeps 2). There is also the Tuppence Barn 1 mile from the venue, it sleeps up 8 people (3 double bedrooms and 2 single beds).
