Long Furlong Barn is a beautiful wedding venue in Worthing at the foot of the South Downs. It's the ideal venue for outdoorsy couples looking for a modern rustic barn.
Getting Ready
Long Furlong Barn has two getting ready rooms. The courtyard bridal suite is included in the hire of the venue, ideal for a small wedding party to get ready in the morning of the wedding. The Studio is a new modern space to get ready with a private walled garden, this is available to hire for an additional fee. It's good to have two getting ready rooms for both partners if you both want to get ready at the venue.
Wedding Ceremonies
Long Furlong Barn has two options for your wedding ceremony. They have an outdoor ceremony space 'The Furlong View' with a wooden arch and panoramic views of the fields behind, ideal for summer weddings. They also have an indoor option, the rustic Cartshed which can seat up to 130 guests. The chiavari chairs and sound system are included in the venue hire.
Confetti
The venue only allow confetti under the wooden shelter in the courtyard. You must use real petal confetti.
Drinks Reception
Your drinks reception will be held in the courtyard. They have outdoor seating for your guests to relax and a wooden bar in the centre of the courtyard. There is a large parasol over the bar providing shade on those hot summer days. The grass at the front of the venue can be used for lawn games if you want some fun entertainment. If you want to bring your own wine for the drinks reception there is no corkage fee.
Photo Locations
The panoramic views of the South Downs provides the most beautiful backdrop for your couple photos. They get incredible sunsets at Long Furlong as well so definitely get those golden hour shots!
Wedding Reception & Catering
Your wedding breakfast will be held in the Granary Barn which can seat up to 130 guests. This room is stunning with high ceilings, rustic beams and fairy lights. Table decor (log slices and table numbers) are included in the venue hire as well as the sound system and microphone for your speeches. They have a selection of caterers for you to choose from and the drinks packages / bar are managed by the venue's team.
Evening Reception
After your meal and speeches the events team will turn the room around to get the Granary Barn ready for the evening reception. Your band or DJ can easily set up with access through the side doors. There's space for 200 standing guests. If you want evening food one of their caterers Circa Event has a pizza truck.
Accommodation and Parking
This venue has no on site accommodation but it's a short drive to Worthing where you can find plenty of hotels and airbnbs. There is on site parking.
