Rumbolds Farm is a lovely barn wedding venue in Billingshurst. They have a 16th century barn, beautiful gardens with a lake and accommodation. They only hold one wedding per week so you can have access to the venue from Wednesday to Sunday.
Getting Ready
Rumbolds Farm have a private bridal cottage which is perfect for getting ready in the morning. They also have a house on site which can be used for getting ready, this can sleep up to 20 guests. It's great to have the option of getting ready at the venue as it creates a much more relaxed morning for you.
Ceremonies
Rumbolds Farm is not licensed for legal ceremonies but you can have a celebrant lead ceremony here. You may want to have your legal ceremony on a separate date or you can just use the venue for the reception if you want to have your legal ceremony on the same day. They have a beautiful outside space for your celebrant ceremony in the garden with the lake behind. If the weather is bad you can use one of the barns. If you want to do a confetti line after the ceremony the venue allow you to use biodegradable confetti.
Drinks Reception
The venue has lots of outdoor space for your drinks reception including the gardens and the patio outside of the barns. There are benches for your guests to sit and relax and a large parasol to provide some shade.
Photo Locations
There are plenty of nice spots around the venue for your couple photos. The tree lined walkway is a beautiful location as well as the gardens and lake.
Wedding Breakfast
Rumbolds Farm have two barns available for you to use, the smaller barn can seat up to 100 guests and the larger barn can seat up to 190 guests so they're able to cater for different size weddings. They have tables and chairs available for you to use which is included in the hire price. They have recommended caterers but you can use whoever you like. There is also space for food trucks.
Evening Reception
Your evening reception can be held in either barn, the easiest thing would be to use the one you didn't have your wedding breakfast in so you don't have to turn the room around. Both spaces are great and you can have a DJ or band set up. Music has to end by 11.20pm.
Accommodation and parking
They have lots of accommodation on site, including the bridal cottage which has one double bed, the house which can sleep up to 20 guests and they also have a camping area where you can hire tents. There is parking available at the entrance to the venue.
