South Stoke Barn is a lovely rustic barn in Arundel available to hire as your wedding venue. They hold weddings from April - September and only hold one wedding a week giving you plenty of time to decorate and enjoy your wedding. It's a family run venue so you will be well looked after, they allow you the freedom to create the wedding you want.
Ceremonies
You are able to have your legal ceremony at South Stoke Barn in the open fronted area of the barn. This is great as you are sheltered from the British weather but you still have the feeling of being outside. The venue can accommodate up to 120 guests. The venue have 120 limewash chivavari chairs and 120 wooden folding chairs for you to choose from. Alternatively if you'd like a church wedding, St. Leonard's Church is a short walk from the venue.
Drinks Reception
After your ceremony you may want to do a confetti line, the venue allow biodegradable confetti. At South Stoke Barn you have full use of the grounds for your drinks reception, there's grassy areas surrounding the barn perfect for lawn games. They also have outdoor seating available for your guests to use and relax. Your caterers can set up a table / bar to serve your drinks. If the weather is bad you can hold your drinks reception under the open fronted area of the barn where the ceremony space is.
Photo Locations
The lovely owners of South Stoke Barn allow the couple to use the front garden of their home and fields behind the barn for your couple portraits. The field views behind the barn are stunning and perfect for sunset photos.
Wedding Breakfast
Your wedding breakfast will be held inside the barn on the upper level which is accessed from the rear of the barn. You walk up the side of the barn which is a small hill and then up some steps into the barn. The venue have 11 round tables and 14 trestle tables available for you to use so you can layout the seating however you like. The barn is a blank canvas but it looks beautiful and doesn't need much decoration. Your caterers will set up in a tent behind the barn, if you want a buffet style meal they can set up to serve by the entrance.
Evening Reception
After your wedding breakfast your guests will exit the barn and the staff will turn it around ready for the evening reception. Your DJ / band can set up inside the barn ready for the first dance.
Parking and Accommodation
They have plenty of space for parking in the field next to the venue. They don't have accommodation but Arundel is a short drive away where you can find hotels and airbnbs.
